Delivery Time/Payment: Each wheelbarrow is custom made by hand. Please allow ten (10) to fourteen (14) weeks for your item to ship. Since the craftsman requires payment prior to putting your wheelbarrow into the production schedule, your credit card will be charged at the time you place your order.

New Amish Wheelbarrows with Old World Charm

  Remember the Old Wooden Wheelbarrow Grandpa used to use on the farm and in the garden?Our authentic wooden wheelbarrows are built like those with traditional craftsmanship from a late 1800's Lancaster County, Pennsylvania pattern. Mortise and tenon joinery is used throughout construction. The frame and handles are made with hardwood Ash. The bottom and sides are Poplar. The sideboards are removable for additional versatility and steel bracing is used for added strength and durability. The wheels feature steam bent Hickory rims with steel "tires" and eight staggered, mortised and tenoned spokes.

Two Types of Wood Grade:

• Premium Grade has a smooth, sanded finish and uses powder-coated hardware which is resilient to weather.

• Rustic Rough-Cut Grade is not smooth. It has a distressed finish and comes with bare-metal hardware which weathers nicely for that "rustic" look.

  In order to protect this precious wood product you can choose to have your wheelbarrow stained with a quality water repellent, semi-transparent oil stain. or you can have your wheelbarrow painted. Of course, should you prefer, natural finish (no paint or stain) is an option. Other Options are available. (see below for details)

These wheelbarrows are shipped 'knocked down' in boxes and are easy to assemble. The Mini wheelbarrow is shipped assembled.
