Puros Indios Cigars
For
more than sixty years, Puros Indios Cigars, steeped
in a distinctive family tradition of cigar 
making,
has been dedicated to producing high quality premium cigars. The secret to
their success lies in a combination of two factors: the prime quality of the
tobacco, and the expertise of their Cuban-born founder, Rolando Reyes Sr.,
master cigar-blender and living legend in the world of premium cigars.
Don Rolando Reyes spent twenty-seven year in nine Cuban
companies, including the legendary H. Upmann and Partagas factories. After
mastering every phase of tobacco farming, leaf processing, and manufacturing of
cigars he formed his own 
successful
cigar company in Cuba. In 1972, Rolando emigrated to Union City, New
Jersey which has a large community of Cuban immigrants. His first brand,
Cuba Aliados ("Cuban Allies") grew in popularity nationwide. In
the mid-1980's production was moved to Dominican Republic then to Danli,
Honduras in 1990.
In 1995, Don Rolando launched Puros Indios. The
brand's reputation grew 
to
almost cult status in short order. All Puros Indios wrapper is
Ecuadorian-grown from Sumatran seed, and the binder is Ecuadorian. The
filler blend is Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian. With a focus on
perfection, it's no wonder that Puros Indios cigars constantly receive some of
the highest ratings in the industry.
