The Late Dr. Babcock's Fried Green
Beans
Fry the
bacon in a heavy skillet until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Add the beans, potatoes, corn, and pepper to the fat in the pan. Stir
and fry until golden brown. Add the milk and evaporated milk, cover with
a lid, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Serve garnished with the
crumbled crisp bacon.

1 lb. green beans, trimmed and cut in pieces
3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
1 c. sweet corn kernels (about 3 ears, kernels cut off)
1½ t. freshly ground black pepper
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. evaporated milk
