Gertie's Dressing Noodle Casserole
Cook
together (with enough water) until tender; celery, carrots, onion, and
potato. heat chicken and broth with your chicken base, sage, and salt.
Pour the chicken seasonings, and cooked vegetables over the bread cubes.
Add eggs and milk if necessary. have the dressing mixed the day before.
Put in a 15½" x 9" roaster, not more than 1/3 full.
cook noodles in rich chicken froth. Put on top of dressing. Now put a
layer of Velveeta. If you prefer you can make your own gravy and put on
top. Bake in a 350° F. oven for 1½ hours or until done. You need not
bake the dressing ahead of time. A good casserole at a carry-in. |
