Recipe Cottage Pudding Amish Cooking Recipes Dessert

In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, salt, flour, and baking powder. Add the egg and mix well. Gradually add the milk and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Fold in the melted butter. Pour batter into greased cupcake tins or a small pie pan. Bake in a preheated 350° F. oven for 15 minutes. Serve with Chocolate Sauce or Vanilla Sauce. Best served warm.
This is very much like a moist cake.

serves 4-6

1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 t. salt
1 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/2 t. vanilla extract
3 T. melted butter
