Mix. Press through cookie press. Bake until light brown. Cut into 3" pieces and immediately remove from cookie sheet. For filling, melt butter, then add cream and powdered sugar. When right spreading consistency, add Crisco and beat until smooth and fluffy. Spread between two cookies to form a sandwich. I use evaporated milk instead of sweet cream.

1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 t. vanilla
4 T. sweet cream
2 t. soda
2 t. baking powder
6 c. flour
Filling:
8 T. sweet cream
4 T. butter, melted
3 T. Crisco
powdered sugar
