Prune Cake
Blend the
sugar and oil. Beat in the eggs, 1 at a time. Mix well, then add the
vanilla. In a bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, spices, and salt
together. Beat into the sugar-oil-egg mixture a little at a time,
alternately with the buttermilk. Blend well, then fold in the prunes.
Pour the batter into a well greased and floured loaf cake pan, or into 2
(8") cake pans. Bake in a preheated 350° F. oven for approx. 1
hour.

1 c. salad oil
3 eggs
1 t. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t. ground cinnamon
1 t. ground allspice
1/4 t. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped prunes
