Boil first 8 ingredients 1 hour. Add cornstarch mixture, boil 10 minutes longer. Put in jars and cold pack for 20 minutes.

1 gal. tomato juice
3 lg. onions, diced fine
2 T. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. dry mustard
1/2 t. red hot pepper
3 c. white sugar
1½ c. vinegar
6 T. cornstarch with water to make a paste
