Red Beet Pickles

Mix sugar, vinegar, water and salt until dissolved. Fill sterile jars with beets and fill with above syrup. Seal jars and cold pack for 20 minutes.

3 qt. cooked red beets
4 c. sugar
1 T. salt
3 c. vinegar
1½ c. water or beet juice
