Hot or Sweet Peppers

Bring all ingredients to a boil except peppers. Add peppers. Cook until semi-soft, about ten minutes.
Fill hot, sterile jars and seal. If desired, a garlic clove may be added to the bottom of each jar.

1 peck peppers, cut into chunks
2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
2 (14 oz.) bottles catsup
2 c. vinegar
2 T. salt
