Cold Pack: To put jars of food in water (up to the neck) and boil for a required amount of time. Lids need to be put on tightly before putting in water. It is very important to clean the jar rims before pacing the lids on them.

Clear jel (gel):  A thickening substance that can be bought at most Bulk Food Stores. Flour and cornstarch can be used as a substitute.
