Blueberry Syrup

Stir sugar, nutmeg, lemon juice and water until dissolved. Bring to boil and add blueberries. Simmer for 15 minutes. Strain if desired.

Makes 5 cups

1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 t. ground nutmeg
1 T. lemon juice
1 c. water
4 c. blueberries, well cleaned
