Kolaches
Dissolve
yeast in lukewarm water; add milk and other ingredients. Measure flour and
add with milk. Let rise; turn out and make into balls. Flatten with palm.
Put on greased cookie sheets. Make depression in center and fill with
thickened cherries, pineapple or prunes. Let rise 15 minutes. Bake at 400°
until done. Frost while warm. This makes about 3 dozen kolaches. |
2 cups milk, scalded
1 cup lukewarm water
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
3/4 cup oil
2 egg yolks
7-7½ cups flour
