yeast in water. Mix together all other ingredients. Stir in yeast. Knead
for 5 minutes until smooth. Let rise until double. Put on floured board
to roll out. Cut out. Let rise for 30 minutes. Fry in hot oil. Drain.
Dust with powdered sugar.
Yields 2 doz. donuts.

3/4 c. warm buttermilk
1/2 c. mashed potatoes
1 egg, beaten
1 t. nutmeg
