Baked Apple Donuts

   Stir together flour, baking powder, nutmeg, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening. Combine eggs, milk, and apples; add to crumb mixture. Mix quickly until thoroughly blended. Fill greased muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake at 350 F. oven for 20-25 minutes. Remove from pans and roll in melted margarine (while still warm), then in mixture of 1 cup sugar and 3 tsp. cinnamon. 4 cups flour
1 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cups grated raw apples
For Coating:
3/4 cup melted oleo
1 cup sugar
3 tsp. cinnamon
