Recipe Bacon Chestnuts Appetizer Amish Cooking Recipes

Wrap a piece of bacon around each water chestnut and secure with toothpick. Bake at 350° F. for 30 minutes. Drain off fat. Pour sauce over chestnuts and bake another 30 minutes. Baking them on a cooling rack n a cake pan works well, so the fat can drain off.

1 lb. bacon
2 cans whole water chestnuts

Sauce:
1 c. ketchup
1 c. brown sugar
